In snowy Munich last week, we set up shop at BAU 2013 and joined the other 235,000 visitors from 41 countries in surveying the best-in-class solutions for faster and greener construction. For those who don’t know, BAU is the world’s leading trade fair for building architecture, materials and systems. This year, the presentation space spanned over 25 football fields, so trust us when we say we got our exercise in while visiting with our fellow exhibitors.
We talked with manufacturers from all over the world and had the special opportunity to sit alongside them during one of the feature events. BAU presented a wonderful panel discussion on sustainability moderated by some of the world’s leading architects. You may recognize the name Daniel Libeskind. He designed the One World Trade Center, currently under construction in New York City’s Financial District. The whole event inspired a sense of community and common purpose and we were thrilled to have taken part.
Of course, we had some fun too and excitedly unveiled Luis Eslava and Lorena Sauras’ latest design.
As you can see, it showcases the versatility of VELCRO® Brand products in the construction industry from roofing, to solar, to wall panels and flooring.
The booth itself provided the perfect conversation point. We were able to tactilely demonstrate how products work and concept with partners and prospective collaborators around their particular needs. An added plus – the National Spanish TV channel (TVE1) selected us as one of the most innovative companies exhibiting. We’d call that an all-around success.
To find out where we will be exhibiting next, send us an email. If you’re in attendance, we hope you’ll come say hello.
