We’ve partnered with Kathy Beymer to bring you this quick and easy DIY project and free printable templates so you can make them for your entire wedding party. This is a simple and clever way to ask your friends and family, ‘will you be my groomsman?’ and ‘will you be my bridesmaid?’
The bottles for groomsmen and the best man feature 3D paper bowties and striped labels asking them to ‘suit up.’
Ready to make them? Let’s start with the gentlemen…
DIY BE MY GROOMSMAN GIFTS
Materials
– This free Label Template (download)
– White cardstock paper
– VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap® Roll
– VELCRO® Brand Thin Fasteners – Premated
– Wine/Spirits Bottle
Tools
– Scissors
– Craft knife, ruler and self-healing cutting mat
– Glue stick
Instructions:
1. Download the free Will You Be My Groomsman printable template PDF. Open in Adobe Reader (not a web browser), type your names into the fields, print, and cut out using scissors or a craft knife, ruler and mat.
2. Let’s make 3D bowties! I love these bowties so much! Print the tie templates and cut around the rectangles only – not the shapes yet. If you want a different color, just trace it onto colored cardstock paper. Line up the fronts to the back patterns, glue sandwich them together. Then cut out the tie shapes.
3. Attach one VELCRO® Brand Thin Fastener – Premated to the back of the tie shape. Peel off the fastener backing and curve the right side of the tie and attach to the fastener. Repeat on the left side. Then place the rectangular piece on top.
4. Fold the rectangular piece around the bowtie to the back.
5. Place the hook (scratchy) side of a VELCRO® Brand Thin Fastener over the seam – it will hold the bowtie together while also allowing it to temporarily attach to the bottle. So clever!
6. Cut a piece of VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap® Roll long enough to wrap around the bottle neck.
7. Wrap it around the neck and overlap to hold – it attaches to itself.
8. Now add the bowtie to the VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap® Roll.
9. It’s securely and temporarily attached.
10. And it’s so cute already! I love the striped lining that’s peeking out from inside the bowtie.
11. Let’s add the labels. Attach VELCRO® Brand Thin Fasteners to the top and bottom or as needed for your chosen bottle.
12. Peel away the backing from the fastener and attach to the bottle.
That’s it! Great job!

DIY BE MY BRIDESMAID GIFTS
The bottles for bridesmaids and the maid of honor feature cascading paper flowers and floral labels asking them to ‘say yes.’ All of the bowties, flowers and labels remove easily after your friends say they’ll “I do” with you. And because it’s attached using VELCRO® Brand fasteners, it’s easy to attach and remove.
Materials

– White or colored cardstock paper
– VELCRO® Brand Plant Ties in green, yellow or pink
– VELCRO® Brand Clear Thin Fasteners – 5/8 inch coins
– Wine/Spirits Bottle
Tools
– Scissors
– Craft knife, ruler and self-healing cutting mat
– Glue stick
Instructions:
1. Download the free Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor printable PDF and open in Adobe Reader (not your web browser). Type your names into the fields, print, and cut out using scissors or a craft knife, ruler and mat. Cut out the flower pieces and slits in the flower centers. Want different colors? Just trace our flower template onto colorful paper that matches your wedding palette.
2. Stack the flower pieces, matching slits, and slip a piece of VELCRO® Brand Plant Ties through the two slits.
3. Attach hook (scratchy) sides of VELCRO® Brand Clear Thin Fasteners on the fronts of the leaves. Attach loop (soft) sides of VELCRO® Brand Clear Thin Fasteners on the backs of the flower center and the petals.
4. Attach draping leaves to the back of the VELCRO® Brand Plant Ties.
5. Wrap the VELCRO® Brand Plant Ties around the bottle and secure by attaching it to itself.
6. Add the leaf and the flower center. You can attach it and re-attach it until it’s looking the way you’d like.
7. Looking good so far. Let’s add the labels.
8. Cut a piece of VELCRO® Brand Plant Ties long enough to wrap around the bottle. Then slip the ties through the slits on the label sides.
9. Wrap around the bottle tightly and securely attach the ties to itself.
10. Here’s what it looks like from the sides. Easy to attach, easy to remove, and cute to boot.
And you’re done! Now repeat as needed …Will You Be My Bridesmaid?
