What to do
Start by making the vampire cape.
Cut out two large pieces of black and purple satin to the length you want and lay them on top of each other with the right side facing inwards. Sew them together along the sides and the bottom, leaving the top open.
To make the collar, cut a collar shape out of a piece of cardboard. Then use it as a template to cut two collar shapes out of the material that you want to use.
Sew the sides and bottom of the collar together with the right sides facing inwards, then turn it the right way round and put the cardboard back inside.
Now sew the collar to the cape and attach a fastener to the front of the cape. We used VELCRO® Brand Sticky Back for Fabrics Tape that’s super easy for little hands to fasten and unfasten.
