We’ve kept the materials for our spring kids crafts simple. All you will need is:

– Hot glue gun or super glue

1. No-Sew Floral Bouquet
Our first spring craft idea for kids is a vibrant, everlasting flower bouquet. With just a few simple steps, you can create something to enjoy for many years to come.
- Cut different-sized flowers you can layer together.
- Cut a smaller circle for the center of the flower.
- Add VELCRO® Brand Sticky Back Fasteners to the center of each piece (we used Sticky Back Ovals).
- Layer and stick your pieces together.
- Use a hot glue gun or extra-strength glue to add a stick to the back of the stem.
Make a variety of flowers in different shapes, sizes and colors, and put them all together in a vase. Now you have a cute spring flower bouquet that won’t ever die or wilt!
2. DIY Felt Pinwheel
Next on the list of kids spring crafts is an adorable DIY pinwheel. Follow these easy steps to create something fun and colorful to brighten any day.
- Cut two square pieces of felt and a small circle for the middle of your pinwheel.
- Layer your squares one on top of another.
- Cut a line from each corner of your square to the center (but not all the way to the middle).
- Prepare thin strips of VELCRO® Brand Sticky Back for Fabrics.
- Take one corner of each triangle on your top square and fold it towards the center. Use your strips to stick them down.
- Do the same with the bottom square, sticking it over the fold you created in step 5.
- Secure your circle in the center, using more Sticky Back for Fabrics to hide the corners you’ve just folded.
- Add a dowel to the back with your glue.
Make the pinwheel your own by adding glitter, stickers or colorful ribbons for a fun and personalized touch.
3. Felt Chain Bunting
Add a pop of color to your spring decor with a delightful felt chain garland. This simple craft is perfect for kids of all ages. Plus, since you’re using VELCRO® Brand Sticky Back for Fabrics, you can alter the length of your garland to customize it for different spaces.
- Cut strips roughly 1 inch wide and 6 inches long on the felt sheets.
- Take one felt strip and form it into a loop, overlapping the ends slightly.
- Stick in place using your trusty Sticky Back for Fabrics.
- Take another felt strip and thread it through the first loop to start forming the chain. Repeat this process, adding more loops to the chain until you reach the desired length.
Your spring garland is now ready to hang! Drape it on a mantel, window, or anywhere you want to add a pop of color.
