We offer several types of double-sided tape. The VELCRO® Brand Industrial Strength Tape holds up to 10 lbs, while the VELCRO® Brand Extreme Outdoor Tape can support up to 15 lbs. This general-purpose tape holds approximately 5 lbs.
This VELCRO® Brand adhesive is versatile, sticking to most smooth indoor surfaces, such as walls, glass, plastic, metal and wood. However, we don’t recommend using it on fabrics, dashboards, flexible vinyl, brick or rough concrete.
1. Wipe away dust and debris with a clean, dry cloth.
2. Use mild soap and water to clean the surface.
3. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.
4. Wipe with isopropyl alcohol for extra cleanliness.
5. Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying the VELCRO® Brand adhesive backing.
This will help ensure a strong bond for your VELCRO® Brand Tape.
We didn’t design this tape for outdoor applications. While it may work temporarily, we recommend checking out our Home Improvement and Outdoor fasteners for the best results.
1. Use a hair dryer to soften the adhesive.
2. Slowly peel the tape away from the surface.
3. Warm the adhesive again, roll it into a ball and dab to lift the remaining adhesive.
4. Use ice in a plastic bag to cool the adhesive for easier removal.
5. Use Goo Gone, acetone, WD-40 or citrus-based cleaners for any remaining tackiness.

1. Use a firm toothbrush to remove dirt.
2. Gently comb out the lint with a fine-toothed comb.
3. Press duct tape into the hooks to lift debris.
4. Pluck out embedded debris with tweezers.
The adhesive is strong and lasts a long time indoors. How long it lasts depends on the surface, conditions and how you use it. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before sticking it on, and give it 24 hours to fully set. Avoid using it on fabrics, flexible vinyl or outside for the best results.

Hook Side: The rough, scratchy side is the hook side, which usually sticks on the stationary surface.
Loop Side: The soft, fuzzy side is the loop side. This usually attaches to the item frequently moved or removed.
This setup ensures a secure and reusable connection.
